Rebecca Mets-Halgrimson, MD, MPH
Dr. Mets-Halgrimson is currently a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus surgeon at Children's Eye Center in Colorado Springs. She has been in this position since 10/2022, and she maintains hospital privileges at Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs, UCHealth, and St. Francis Medical Center.
Prior to this, she was an assistant professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and served as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus surgeon at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago from 9/2013 through 7/2022, where she was also co-fellowship director.
Prior to this, she was an assistant professor at the University of Colorado in Aurora and served as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus surgeon at Children's Hospital Colorado from 9/2011 through 9/2013.
She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Children's National Medical Center, George Washington University, from 7/2010 through 7/2011.
She completed residency training at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine from 7/2007-7/2010.
She completed internship training in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center from 7/2006-7/2007.
She earned her MD degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine between 8/2002 and 5/2006.
Prior to that, she completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of Michigan in 2002, and earned her undergrad degree from Colby College in 1999.
