Dr. Wiggins specializes in pediatric and neuro-ophthalmology and serves as the physician administrator for Asheville Eye Associates. Following his fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology, Dr. Wiggins served for one year as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has practiced at Asheville Eye Associates since that time. He has served as president of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and president of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He currently serves on the boards of the Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company and American Board of Ophthalmology.
