Kiersten is a Behavioral Health Therapist with Peterson Life with Cancer at Inova Schar. Kiersten has worked at Inova since 2017, most recently with Inova’s Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program. Kiersten has held various social work positions in both inpatient and outpatient health care settings, to address the psychosocial needs of patients with acute and chronic illnesses. She received her Master of Social Work degree from George Mason University. She is passionate about providing emotional support to patients and families who are impacted by various complex medical diseases. In her spare time, Kiersten works part-time as a program director with Experience Camps, a nonprofit organization that supports the lives of grieving children through free weeklong summer camp programs and year round iniaitives.
