Target Audience
This activity is designed for primary care providers, including family medicine, general practice, preventive medicine, internal medicine, obstetricians and gynecology, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care and cancer prevention. The content is tailored to enhance clinical knowledge and practical skills in cancer risk assessment, screening, and prevention strategies.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Evaluate and integrate emerging cancer screening and risk stratification tools—including multi-cancer early detection tests and AI-enhanced imaging—into clinical decision-making to improve early detection rates and personalize prevention strategies.
- Implement evidence-based cancer screening guidelines and leverage Inova programs to increase adherence to recommended screening protocols and reduce gaps in early diagnosis.
- Accurately interpret common hematologic laboratory abnormalities and determine following appropriate diagnostic or management steps to ensure timely evaluation and reduce unnecessary or delayed care.
- Apply guideline-based strategies for the diagnosis, management, and secondary prevention of venous thromboembolism, and appropriately select patients for hypercoagulability testing to optimize treatment outcomes.

Inova Center for Personalized Health Conference Center (ICPH) is centrally located between Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) and Reagan Airports (DCA). Union Station (in Washington, DC) is located about 30-40 minutes from the campus. Both airports along with Union Station offer onsite ground transportation to Fairfax, VA which is about a 30–40-minute drive. Uber or Lyft are also reliable ground transportation options in the DC metro area.
