Dr. Rappaport is Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta/Emory University and Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine.  After completing Chief Residency at the prestigious Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children in Falls Church VA (!), he joined the faculty at Nemours Children's Hospital of Delaware/Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine, where he worked for 18 years.  He previously served as the Associate Residency Program Director at Nemours Children's Hospital and Director of fourth-year pediatric clerkships at Thomas Jefferson University.  He is the former co-chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Hospital Medicine Surgical Care Subcommittee. He has published numerous clinical research studies, especially regarding children with medical complexity and systems of care. He looks forward to being back in Northern Virginia.
