Abigail Ortmayer is a board-certified physical therapist, specializing in neurological and amputee rehabilitation. She obtained her Master of Science in Kinesiology, with a focus in biomechanics, before going on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to her current role, Dr. Ortmayer worked in rural health, supporting geriatric wellness and rehabilitation in Virginia's Shenandoah region.

Currently, Dr. Ortmayer works in the Inova Fairfax Outpatient Rehabilitation department, treating patients within the neurological, amputee, and oncology populations — areas that align closely with her clinical interests. Dr. Ortmayer is committed to holistic, patient-centered care that looks beyond the diagnosis to the whole person. She believes that empowering patients and their loved ones with a clear understanding of mobility and independence deficits is essential to helping them regain confidence and quality of life.
