Dr. Clarke earned her PhD in Human Factors and Applied Cognition from George Mason University, where she led pioneering research on improving brain health and extending independence in older adults. Upon graduation, she worked with a variety of respected institutions, including Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the U.S. Naval Research Lab (NRL), and Blue Cross Blue Shield. In 2016 she formed Brain Evolved to bring this work to the older adult public.
