Dr. Meguid is a graduate of Alexandria University in Egypt, where he had his medical education and training for a period of time as a neurosurgery resident. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and has had an academic career since finishing psychiatry residency training at the University of Vermont in 2000 and CL psychiatry fellowship training at Inova Fairfax Hospital/Georgetown University in 2001. He worked as a full-time faculty at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, the United Arab Emirates University in the UAE and Virginia Commonwealth University before moving to Inova Fairfax Medical Campus where he has been for 6 years now. He is a CL Psychiatrist and a Neuropsychiatrist. He created and ran the neuropsychiatry clinic at Virginia Commonwealth University for about 8 years and has created and currently runs the neuropsychiatry clinic at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in addition to his work on the CL psychiatry service. His other interest and passion have been teaching and training medical students, residents and fellows, which he has been doing for about 30 years.
