Dr. Yamini Kathari completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry at Rutgers University. She attended medical school at Temple University Lewis Katz School of medicine. She completed Internal Medicine Residency at University of Maryland Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. She continued her training at UMMC for her hematology and oncology fellowship, and served as chief fellow.  Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Kathari served as an Assistant Instructor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She joined Inova in 2025.
