Patrick Clougherty, MD, FASA

Dr. Patrick Clougherty has been a full-time active member of the Inova Medical Staff since 1987. He served as Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus from 2001 to 2021. He is Professor of Medical Education with the UVA School of Medicine at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.

Dr. Clougherty is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology and is certified by the American Society of Anesthesiologists in Diagnostic Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS). He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, completed his anesthesiology residency at UCLA, and pursued fellowship training in Cardiovascular Anesthesia at Johns Hopkins.
