Dr. Katherine M. Moyer is a Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician and the Medical Director of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Inova Health System in Fairfax, Virginia. She also serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Informatics for the Inova Pediatric Service Line.

Dr. Moyer earned her medical degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed combined Internal Medicine–Pediatrics residency training at Geisinger Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident. She went on to complete her fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Since joining Inova in 2016, Dr. Moyer has become a recognized leader in pediatric infectious diseases and clinical informatics. Dr. Moyer has received numerous honors throughout her career, including multiple “Top Doctor” recognitions, the Inova Children’s Hospital Teaching Award for Excellence, and the Inova Pediatric Residency Subspecialist of the Year award.  She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, and Infectious Diseases Society of America.

She is widely regarded as an enthusiastic educator, a collaborative clinical partner, and a dedicated advocate for improving pediatric infectious disease care across the region.
