Andrew Bernard, MD FACS

Andrew Bernard is a native of Kentucky. He began his career as an EMT and aeromedical dispatcher. He was educated entirely at the University of Kentucky. He has 40 years of experience in EMS, emergency surgery and trauma. Dr. Bernard is currently Professor of Surgery, the Paul A. Kearney MD Endowed Chair in Trauma Surgery, and Chief of Acute Care Surgery at the UK College of Medicine. Second only to caring for patients, Dr. Bernard’s greatest passion is teaching.
