Chimsom Oleka, MD, FACOG
Dr. Chimsom T. Oleka, MD, FACOG is a Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, with Fellowship Training and Certifications in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
She also serves as a gynecologist to recreational and elite athletes.
After receiving her undergraduate degree with honors in biology from the University of Louisville, Dr. Oleka received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at the University of Connecticut Health Sciences Center in Farmington, where she served as Education Chief, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Previously, Dr. Oleka chaired and co-founded the Women’s Health Committee within the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s National Medical Network. She is currently an active member of the Women's Health Task Force within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
More than just a physician, Dr. Oleka is a former athlete herself.
She is a former Division I Track and Field Athlete and multi-sport athlete, to include volleyball, cross country, cheerleading and soccer.
She is incredibly passionate about educating, encouraging and providing information in a way that is both relatable and empowering and believes it is important to normalize the conversation as it relates to reproductive health for young girls, women and those with vulvae, vaginas, uteri and/or ovaries. She believes that we should support, create and nurture the spaces necessary for women and young girls to be themselves, understand themselves, protect themselves and love themselves.
