Kathy Ababio is the Manager of Research Training & Education for the Office of Research, with expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating research education programs that support research compliance. She leads research onboarding trainings for new investigators and research staff and delivers monthly educational sessions on a range of research topics throughout the year, strengthening institutional understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.

Previously, Kathy served as IRB Manager within the Human Research Protections Office, where she supported investigators in navigating the IRB submission process and developed multiple guidance documents to promote regulatory understanding and compliance.
