Mary J. Dominguez, MD received her medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra at her hometown of Santiago, Dominican Republic in 2008. She completed her internal medicine internship at New York Downtown Hospital in 2013 and her internal medicine residency at Winthrop University hospital in 2015. Dr. Dominguez then completed a fellowship in nephrology at Montefiore Medical Center and joined as faculty in 2017 as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and on 2023 was promoted to associate Professor. 
 
Her areas of interest include CKD care, glomerulonephritis, lupus nephritis and medical education. She has a special interest in lupus nephritis and serves as the lead nephrologist at Montefiore-Einstein Lupus Institute for Lupus Care and Research. Since 2022, Dr. Dominguez has served as the Associate  Program Director of the nephrology fellowship program and is the Director of one of the fellow clinics.
