Stacey Prenner, MD

Stacey Prenner is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She additionally serves as an Associate Program Director for their Internal Medicine Residency Program. She completed her undergraduate education at Emory University and her graduate education at Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and her fellowship training in both Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at Northwestern McGaw Medical Center before ultimately joining the Penn faculty in her hometown of Philadelphia. Her clinical interests include autoimmune liver disease and liver transplantation. Her team at Penn completed 172 liver transplants, including 27 living donor liver transplants this past year. She is passionate about optimizing resident and fellow education for gastroenterology in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and her primary roles as a residency program director focus on formal mentorship for trainees and curriculum development. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband & 3 children.
