Pediatric Post-Tonsillectomy Hemorrhage Enduring Material
This is the recording of a simulation-based session designed to train healthcare providers in the emergent management of a pediatric patient presenting with life-threatening post-tonsillectomy hemorrhage. The course covers initial assessment, rapid sequence intubation of a difficult airway, and damage control resuscitation, including the activation of a massive transfusion protocol (MTP).

Learning Objectives
- Rapidly assess a pediatric patient for airway compromise, hemorrhagic shock, and aspiration risk.
- Prepare the appropriate personnel, equipment, and medications for the resuscitation of a critically ill child.
- Perform a primary survey (ABCDE) and initiate immediate life-saving interventions for shock and hypoxemia.
- Execute rapid sequence intubation (RSI) in a hemodynamically unstable child with a bloody airway, selecting appropriate induction and resuscitation medications.
