Senior Genetic Counselor

Tara Biagi, MS, LCGC, is a board-certified genetic counselor at the Inova Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention Center. She specializes in hereditary cancer risk assessment, counseling individuals and families with a history of cancer, and guiding patients through genetic testing and its implications for care.

Ms. Biagi earned her BS in Biology from the University of Michigan and began her career at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, coordinating genetic research in vertebrate genome sequencing and disease gene mapping. She completed her MS in Genetic Counseling at Brandeis University, with clinical training at Massachusetts General Hospital, UMass Memorial Medical Center, and Baystate Medical Center.

Prior to joining Inova, Ms. Biagi worked as a genetic counselor at Children’s National Hospital, the GW Medical Faculty Associates, and the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, gaining broad experience across pediatrics and adult oncology.
