Professor Spike taught clinical ethics in medical schools in New York and Texas before moving to Inova-Fairfax in Northern Virginia.  He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Psychiatry at George Washington University.  He is the author of over 100 articles, chapters, commentaries and editorials in academic journals in bioethics, medicine, and medical education.
