The Role of Electrodiagnostic Testing in Rehabilitation Medicine

Learning Objectives: 

• Apply a systematic approach to interpreting EMG and nerve conduction study findings to accurately localize pathology involving nerve roots, plexus, and peripheral nerves.
• Differentiate electrodiagnostic patterns of common radiculopathies and entrapment neuropathies, and correlate findings with clinical examination and imaging.
• Integrate electrodiagnostic results into evidence-based treatment planning, prognostication, and interdisciplinary rehabilitation management.
