Building Resilient Families: The Case for Prioritizing Fathers' Mental Health 


Objectives: 

1. Define adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and positive childhood experiences (PCEs), and explain the relationship between fathers' mental health and these constructs. 

2. Describe the developmental and behavioral impacts of paternal depression on children. 

3. Identify strategies pediatricians can use to support fathers' mental health and discuss priorities for future research and intervention development.
