This activity provides clinicians with the knowledge and skills to recognize children and adolescents at risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD) due to inherited or acquired cardiac conditions. Faculty will review current approaches to identifying red flag symptoms, screening for cardiomyopathies, channelopathies, and other arrhythmogenic disorders, and initiating appropriate diagnostic evaluation. Participants will also learn strategies for acute and longitudinal management of families affected by SCD, including genetic counseling, psychosocial support, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
