Christina Paul, MD
Dr. Paul was born in Germany and raised in Bethesda, Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland- College Park while also serving as team captain for the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Team. She earned her medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School, completed PM&R residency at the University of Texas- Austin Dell Medical School, and completed a cancer rehabilitation fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City through Columbia/Cornell Universities. She previously served as Assistant Faculty at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University providing clinical expertise in spasticity management, wound care, brain injury, spinal cord injury, musculoskeletal pain, and prosthetics and orthotics. Additionally she served as Cancer Rehabilitation Program Director at ECU Health Medical Center working with those who have been diagnosed with cancer to address their functional needs. Dr. Paul has contributed to academic textbooks and presented at numerous medical conferences and meetings. Her clinical interests include prehabilitation, post mastectomy pain syndrome, cancer related fatigue, lymphedema, botox, trigger point injections, neuropathic pain, exercise as medicine, and helping patients optimize their function through a holistic approach. Dr. Paul is board certified in PM&R. She currently cares for patients at INOVA acute inpatient rehab facilities at both Fairfax and Mt. Vernon in addition to seeing patients at her outpatient clinic in Annandale, VA.
