Dr. Ashley Hanlon obtained her bachelor's degrees in chemistry and classical studies from Virginia Tech and then went on to obtain a master's degree in chemistry from Standford University. She then worked in industry as a chemist for a number of years before turning to medicine. She obtained her MD from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed Internal Medicine-Pediatrics combined residency and Adult Hematology Oncology Fellowship at Duke University Hospital. She came to Inova in 2021 and works at both ISCI Fair Oaks and ICPH locations. She is medical director of ISCI Fair Oaks
