Nancy Collar is a Lung Navigator at Inova Health System in Fairfax, Virginia. She is a board certified, registered respiratory therapist of 41 years, with additional certifications in neonatal/pediatric respiratory care, asthma education and adult critical care. She has worked in all areas of RT, including all adult, pediatric and neonatal ICUs, ground and air transportation, management, research and ECMO. She has been involved in multiple published articles involving Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction, Incidental Lung Nodules and Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome. 

Nancy’s passion for making lung disease simple motivates her to take the necessary time educating her patients so they can have the highest quality of life possible. Her life experiences compel her to compassionately spend time with her patients, listening to their stories and motivating them to do everything they possibly can for themselves to improve their quality of life. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 31 years, her two beautiful daughters and her two perfect grandchildren. She enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking and the beach. She has a passion for helping people in need. One of her life goals is to help others know They Matter!
