Ghassan Ilaiwy, MD, MPH, serves as the Tuberculosis Physician for the Fairfax County Health Department. Trained in infectious diseases at the University of Virginia and public health at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, his research and clinical practice have centered on tuberculosis prevention in the U.S. and Tanzania among other TB-high burden countries. He is committed to combining clinical care, research, and public health practice to improve TB outcomes throughout the TB-care cascade.
