Dr. Zain Abedali is a specialty care physician board certified in urology. He joined Inova in 2025 and has been practicing since 2020.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Abedali completed his urology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Urology—one of the nation’s leading programs for urologic surgical training.

Dr. Abedali provides comprehensive care for conditions affecting both the male and female urinary tracts. His clinical expertise includes the medical and surgical management of kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and erectile dysfunction (ED). He also has extensive experience treating the full spectrum of genitourinary cancers, including prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancer. He is trained in advanced surgical techniques, including both open and minimally invasive/robotic approaches.

Known for being a thoughtful and attentive listener, Dr. Abedali strives to build strong partnerships with his patients. He emphasizes shared decision-making, patient autonomy, and quality of life, tailoring care to meet the diverse needs of the Northern Virginia community.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Abedali is an avid runner who enjoys hiking and spending time with his family while exploring the Northern Virginia region.
