Sarah Horvath, MD, MSHP, FACOG

Sarah Horvath, MD MSHP, FACOG is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Penn State University and a Complex Family Planning subspecialist. She founded the institutional Ryan Program and serves as the departmental Vice Chair for Research. Her research is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health and several foundations. She is the Medical Director for Planned Parenthood Keystone, and the Pennsylvania Section Treasurer and sits on the Committee for Equity in Obstetrics and Gynecologic Care for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Previously, she was the inaugural Darney/Landy Fellow at ACOG. During that time, she developed training materials for the IMPACT Program, served as a clinical trainer, a liaison to other health care organizations, and a Family Planning content expert for advocacy, policy, and educational activities. She completed her Fellowship in Family Planning and Master of Science in Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018, residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and medical school at the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. Her mission is to lead high impact research, teach, and advocate for improved access to comprehensive reproductive health care for all.
