Victoria Vargas, MD, MS

Dr. Victoria Vargas is a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of advanced endometriosis and other complex gynecologic conditions. She completed her specialty training at the Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital integrated residency program in obstetrics and gynecology. She went on to complete her Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at George Washington University.
In August of 2025, she opened a multidisciplinary practice with a focus on the surgical management of endometriosis. Prior to this, Dr. Vargas worked for Johns Hopkins Medicine as the Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in the DC region, specializing in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, with a focus on multidisciplinary care for endometriosis. She previously worked at George Washington University and the DC VA medical center, where she was a MIGS fellowship associate program director and director of resident surgical education.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Vargas is dedicated to advancing the standard-of-care for endometriosis by promoting scientific discovery and the development of standardized, evidence-based best practices to benefit endometriosis patients world-wide. She served on the board of the AAGL Endometriosis Special Interest Group over the past 4 years and is the immediate past president. She has led numerous courses to international audiences about optimizing the surgical treatment of endometriosis and has developed a national reputation among her patients and her peers.
