Dr. Andrew Fanous is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Inova Health System. He graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College, where he completed his undergraduate studies in molecular biology, biochemistry and German literature with highest departmental honors. Dr. Fanous completed his Medical Doctorate with a major in surgery from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and completed his residency in neurological surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He subsequently completed his fellowship training in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at the University of Miami. Dr. Fanous' clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery and spine tumor surgery. He is fluent in seven different languages.
