Augusto Dulanto Chiang
Dr. Dulanto Chiang is an Assistant Professor of Transplant Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he plays the role of Hematology/Stem-Cell ID liaison, as well as co-chair of Infectious Diseases / Clinical Microbiology Oversight Committee and Immunocompromised liaison for the Antimicrobial Stewardship program. Originally obtaining his MD in Peru in 2011, Dr. Dulanto Chiang has previous experience as an Assistant Research Physician at NIAID from 2019-2023, where he studied novel antibiotic resistance pathways in hypermutator Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Dr. Dulanto Chiang has a long-standing interest in infectious diseases in immunocompromised hosts and implementing technologic solutions for optimizing the use of molecular microbiologic diagnostics.
