Dr. Elizabeth Eberly was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Northern Virginia. She attended George Mason University for her undergraduate studies where she majored in biology with a minor in international affairs. After college, she attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where she developed a passion for gastroenterology and hepatology. She completed her internal medicine residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital, during which time she published several papers on gastroenterology and hepatology. She served an additional year as Internal Medicine Chief Resident followed by a year as an internal medicine hospitalist before pursuing GI fellowship. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family
