Rachel Frederick is the Assistant Vice President of Patient Safety and Infection Prevention for the Inova Health System.  She graduated from the University of Portland in 2010 before beginning a diverse nursing career, specializing in critical care. In 2017, she transitioned to Infection Prevention, ultimately becoming Assistant Vice President in 2024. In 2021 and 2025, Rachel attended the George Washington University, earning graduate degrees in Public Health and Healthcare Administration, respectively. In 2026, Rachel's role was expanded to include Patient Safety. In this capacity, she strives to find alignment and advance the field of safety throughout the organization via integrated care transformation.
