Tracie Dorfman is a partner at Hancock, Daniel & Johnson.  Her firm specializes in all aspects of healthcare law and Ms. Dorfman practices in the area of civil litigation. Ms. Dorfman has nearly twenty years of experience representing healthcare providers in all aspects of litigation including pre-suit negotiations, active lawsuits and disciplinary actions before the department of health professions.  She has served as lead counsel for cases pending in the State and Federal courts across Virginia, D.C. and Maryland.  Ms. Dorfman has been voted by her peers as a Rising Star (2013-2020) and Super Lawyer (2021-2026) in Virginia.

Ms. Dorfman received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Tufts University and her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law where she was an Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar. Ms. Dorfman completed the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law, an intense immersion course in trial advocacy strategies.
