Arjun S. Kanwal, MD is a general cardiologist with a focus on sports cardiology and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Dr. Kanwal serves as the official Team Cardiologist for the Washington Commanders.

Dr. Kanwal completed his internal medicine training through the MedStar Health Internal Medicine Program and Georgetown University and his cardiovascular disease training through New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center. While completing his fellowship, Dr. Kanwal had dedicated training in sports cardiology and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, where he was part of the care team for high school, college, and professional level athletes. Dr. Kanwal has had the opportunity to present at national and international cardiology conferences and has numerous publications in multiple well-respected journals.

Dr. Kanwal believes that each patient deserves an individualized care plan and takes pride in his patient centered approach.

In his free time, Dr. Kanwal enjoys traveling, playing golf and exploring different parts of DC. He resides in Arlington with his wife.
