Dr. Riva Kamat is a pediatric hospitalist at Inova Children's Hospital and Winchester Medical Center. She is an entrepreneur who is the founder of Lotus Clinician Well-Being, a company that consults with medical organizations to improve the well-being of clinicians. With over twenty years of experience within a community and academic practice, she has learned to cope with the ups and downs of medicine. She is the former Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section of Hospital Medicine, Provider Wellness Subcommittee, and the past Chair of the Virginia American Academy of Pediatrics, Provider Wellness Committee. She is a certified coach who enjoys coaching attending physicians, residents, medical students, and pre-med students on a wide range of topics such as moral injury and boundaries.
