Charles Fencil, MD, is a junior faculty member at Inova/Fairfax Family Practice, having graduated from the program in 2023. He has an interest in curriculum development, medical education, and public health. Currently, Dr. Fencil is involved in research on acute sinusitis, working with Alex Krist, Dan Merenstein, and other colleagues. This research group has recently received full funding for a significant multicenter clinical trial on acute sinusitis, which will be the largest of its kind. The study is conducted through Georgetown University, with Dan Merenstein serving as the principal investigator, and involves collaboration at both Inova and other institutions across the country.
