Ali Spies, MS, MD
Dr. Ali Spies is a urogynecology fellow in the National Capital Consortium (NCC) fellowship. As an active duty United States Navy medical corps officer, she is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been practicing since 2017.
Prior to fellowship, Dr. Spies served as a general gynecologic surgeon and obstetrician at Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan and Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital in Twentynine Palms, CA. She completed her residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA and medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Spies chose to pursue a career in urogynecology to improve the quality of life of women with pelvic floor disorders. She is passionate about return to activity, particularly in active duty patients, and providing patient-centered care.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Spies enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
