Amira Mohamed, MD

Amira Mohamed, MD, is the Director of the Critical Care Fellowship Program and Associate Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Montefiore Einstein's Moses Campus, where she also serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Mohamed is a board-certified intensivist with a clinical focus on ARDS and respiratory failure. Her academic interests include healthcare disparities, vaccine effectiveness, and medical education. She has led updates to the critical care curriculum at Montefiore Einstein, emphasizing research and quality improvement, and has published her work in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Mohamed is an active member of ATS, SCCM, and the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors.
