Airaj Fasiuddin, MD
Dr. Airaj Fasiuddin is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus specialist with extensive experience in academic medicine, clinical leadership, and resident education. She currently serves as Division Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Fasiuddin was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh from 2023 to 2024. From 2013 to 2022, she served as Division Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida, and as Ophthalmology Vice Chair of Education at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Fasiuddin held academic and leadership roles at the University at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the Ross Eye Institute, including Residency Program Director from 2011 to 2013. Her training includes a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, an ophthalmology residency at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, an internal medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
