Dr. Talal M. Nsouli is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology and a Distinguished Research Scientist at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Immunology at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He is an Honorary Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), he is a Fellow of the American College of International Physicians (FACIP), and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI).
Dr. Nsouli was elected to the ACAAI Board of Regents, the governing body of this organization, for the 2009-2012 term. In addition, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Allergy & Asthma Network/Mothers of Asthmatics for the 2011-2012 term.
Dr. Nsouli is the former president of the Greater Washington Asthma, Allergy and Immunology Society. He is on the Editorial Boards of Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Allergy and Asthma Proceedings, and Reviews & Trends in Respiratory Medicine, and he is a reviewer of articles for the American Journal of Rhinology & Allergy. He has also been the chairman of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of ACAAI’s annual Nationwide Asthma Screening Program since its inception in 1998.
Dr. Nsouli has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine, Washington Consumers’ Checkbook, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Super Doctors as one of the top doctors in allergy and immunology in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In addition, he has been recognized by the Consumers’ Research Council of America in America’s Top Physicians and by Best Doctors in America as one of the top doctors in allergy and immunology in the country.
Dr. Nsouli has published more than 100 research studies in the fields of allergy, asthma and immunology. In 2009, he was honored with ACAAI’s Distinguished Service Award. In 2002, in recognition of his substantial contributions to medical research, the Georgetown University Medical Center and ACAAI conferred on Dr. Nsouli the prestigious 8th Annual Dr. Robert T. Scanlon Memorial Lectureship.
Dr. Nsouli has done numerous interviews on advances in the treatment of COVID-19 on international television including: Al Arabiya, Al Hadath, AMC Egypt, Almamlaka Jordan, Aljazeera, France 24 Paris, BBC News London, Algeria News TV, ALNAJAH Palestinian News, Asharq Bloomberg TV News, MTV, LBC and others.
Dr. Nsouli maintains a very active private practice as the Director of the Watergate and Burke (VA) Allergy and Asthma Centers. In that capacity, he was President Bill Clinton’s personal allergist for the full eight years of his presidency. In addition, he is an allergy consultant to President Donald J. Trump’s White House Medical Office and was an allergy consultant to President Joseph Biden’s, President Barack Obama’s, and President George W. Bush’s White House Medical Offices.
