Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

Lauren completed her undergraduate BSN nursing degree from Georgetown University in 2006 and her graduate MSN degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Her graduate degree is as a pediatric acute/chronic nurse practitioner with a specialization in oncology and a minor in palliative care. She has always worked in pediatrics, and as an RN worked in pediatric bone marrow transplant, neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, pediatric stepdown, pediatric oncology, and pediatric float pool. Lauren was the nursing director at Victory Junction, a SeriousFun camp for children with chronic and life threatening illnesses from 2010 to 2013 and continues to return to volunteer her time helping camp. As a nurse practitioner, she spent 8 years as a neuro-oncology nurse practitioner at Children's National. She has also worked as a nurse practitioner in pediatric hospice with Hospice of the Chesapeake. She has been with Inova since September 2020 working as a nurse practitioner in the pediatric cardiac ICU.
