Tiffany Brazile, MD

Tiffany L. Brazile, MD is a cardiology fellow at Inova Schar Heart and Vascular in Falls Church, VA. She earned her medical degree at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and completed a fellowship in Medical Innovation at the New England Pediatric Device Consortium prior to graduation. She trained in internal medicine in the clinical scientist track at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she was the recipient of an R38 StARR grant through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute as a resident-investigator. At the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine, Dr. Brazile completed a two-year research fellowship as a T32 scholar under Dr. Benjamin Levine, where she developed expertise in echocardiography and cardiopulmonary exercise testing to study cardiovascular physiology in patients with obesity and heart failure. She currently serves as a member of the lifestyle and nutrition working groups of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Society for Preventive Cardiology. Dr. Brazile, who is also an accomplished professional dancer, is passionate about preventive cardiology and clinical research, with a focus on cardiometabolic disease, exercise, and women’s health.
