Rohan Oberoi, MD
Dr. Oberoi joined Inova as the Palliative Medical Director of the Eastern Region. He completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, and medical training at Medical University of the Americas. He then completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of North Dakota Center for Family Medicine at Minot where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Achievements in residency included UND Resident of the Year and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher of the Year.
Following residency, Dr. Oberoi completed his Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston with training at Texas Medical Center Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. During fellowship, he engaged in medical education of students and residents at UT McGovern Medical School and Baylor College of Medicine.
After fellowship, Dr. Oberoi joined UCSF Fresno faculty as Assistant Clinical Professor where he led the Palliative Care team at Clovis Community Medical Center and also taught medical fellows and residents at UCSF Community Regional Medical Center. While at UCSF Fresno, Dr. Oberoi was awarded Faculty of the Year as well as nominated for the prestigious 2023 UCSF Kaiser Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Dr. Oberoi enjoys spending time with family including his new puppy Bunny! Other interests include creating music and keeping up with the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers.
