Elizabeth Krieger, MD

Eizabeth Krieger is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in pediatric hematology-oncology and cellular therapies. She completed her pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, followed by advanced training in pediatric bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Krieger contributions to the field of transplant immunobiology studying T cell recovery post-transplant ambitiously seeks the "Goldilocks Zone” of transplant immune recovery. Dr. Krieger's clinical focus is on cellular therapies, with a particular interest in transformative and curative therapies for patients with hemoglobinopathies. Currently, Dr. Krieger leads VCU's transformative and curative program for hemoglobinopathies and served as the site principal investigator for the Bluebird Bio HGB-210 clinical trial.
