Dr. Hota is certified by the American Board of Surgery and fellowship-trained in Minimally Invasive Surgery with a focus in robotics and foregut surgery. She attended Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. After earning her medical degree, she completed her residency in General Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Following residency, she pursued a fellowship in Advanced Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. She has served on several committees for national surgical organizations including SAGES, ACS, and the NAPRC.
