<p>Professional Title: </p><p>Professor of Neurological and Orthopedic Surgery; Director of Neurosurgical Fellowship in Complex Spine and Peripheral Nerve Surgery</p><p>Bio:</p><p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Srinivas Prasad is a complex spine and peripheral nerve surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where he has been in practice since 2009. He is the director of the complex spine fellowship and a Professor in the Departments of Neurological and Orthopedic Surgery. After graduating from Boston University’s Six-year Honors Medical Program, Dr. Prasad completed a general surgery internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Surgical Robotics from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. He completed his Neurosurgical Residency at Washington University in St. Louis in 2008 and a fellowship in Complex Spine and Peripheral Nerve Surgery at Cleveland Clinic in 2009 before moving to Philadelphia to join the faculty at Thomas Jefferson University. He has published more than a hundred journal articles and book chapters. He has delivered lectures and taught or chaired courses regionally, nationally and internationally on aspects of Complex Spine Surgery. He has always had a particular interest in spine surgery education and has launched a youtube Channel called “Prasad Spine Academy” with the vision of making a definitive and freely accessible educational reference for surgeons in training worldwide. In addition, Dr. Prasad has lectured extensively on strategies for developing a Spine Surgery practice and making the transition from trainee to surgeon. </span></span></p>
