Dr. Nuibe grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and has traversed the U.S. in pursuit of higher education. He graduated from Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska as the top student in Pediatrics in his class. He completed his Pediatrics residency at the University of California Davis in Sacramento where he received the Michael Sugawara leadership award. He then did his Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City where he also obtained a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Investigation. His scholarly activity in fellowship comparing costs and outcomes of different antimicrobial therapies for pediatric MSSA osteoarticular infections was recognized as outstanding work by a fellow at the ID Week 2013 conference.
He has worked at the Inova Children's Hospital as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician since 2015 where he has helped to implement various care process models regarding infectious syndrome management and published on neonatal antimicrobial use. His scholarly interests include comparative effectiveness studies and antimicrobial stewardship.
Dr. Nuibe is proud to have mentored various residents over the years, and in 2020 he was honored by the Inova Pediatric residents as the top Pediatric specialist.
Since moving to Virginia Dr. Nuibe has enjoyed the annual cherry blossoms and trying different all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurants.
