Mary Elizabeth Calabrese is a developmental behavioral pediatrician at Inova Children's Hospital. She completed her pediatrics residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, followed by a developmental behavioral pediatrics fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. Mary Elizabeth received an MPH degree in clinical effectiveness from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, which she completed concurrently with her final year of developmental pediatrics fellowship. Her research interests include understanding experiences of children with autism during inpatient hospitalization, autism screening and early detection, and strengthening educational and healthcare partnerships to improve care of underserved children with developmental disabilities.
