Experience:

I have over 30  years of health care experience. I believe, if you provide the rationale behind coding and billing guidelines, it creates a better understanding of Coding and documentation compliance expectations. I enjoy providing education to Physicians, Hospitalists and NPPs on various topics of  ICD-10-CM, CPT and CDI. I have participated in Steering Committees and workgroups with physicians on projects related to CPT®, HCPCS, ICD-9-CM, ICD-10- CM/PCs, medical record documentation review; Medicare fraud and abuse issues; corporate compliance programs; reimbursement issues; internal policies and procedures; and other regulatory matters.
